3D 'Sketches'
Added 2023-05-28 19:35:28 +0000 UTCI use 3D models for reference in a lot of my drawings. These models were made by me, and specifically made with my art style in mind.
To give an example, I attached the Katsuragi drawing I did as well as the Blender reference for comparison.
You can see that the models in that photo kind of look like mannequins, but I also made specific models for Pepski, Molly, and Pepper [An OC of mine who doesn't have a ref sheet yet]. If you guys are interested, you can find photos of those models attached below.
So why am I telling you all of this? I want to be more transparent about my drawing process moving forward. I'm aware it's very... unconventional hence why I've been hesitant talk about it until now.
I plan on posting 3D 'sketches' to the Patreon. Which are basically just the references I made in Blender. I figured it'd be a good way to show you all that progress is being made on a drawing as well as give you an idea what the final drawing will look like.
I'll also be making another post with some unused ones too as an example.
