Build 7.5
Added 2016-10-10 14:30:57 +0000 UTCBuild 7.5 is here!
This implementation focuses on filling a number of lingering content holes. The Herm Gryphon has her remaining player vic scenes added, and the Wyvern's orgy bound state has been implemented.
Because the aforementioned bound state is very technically complex, and also difficult to activate, there are hyperlink cheats at the starting room to try out both variants. This should persist until the next build.
Additionally, early implementation of the game's starting questline is in. You will need to jump through a couple hoops before you can go out and explore now. Some of the segments are using placeholders right now, as they're currently pending some discussion.
The rest of the quest remains, as well as player victory content for the latex fox and anything else we intend to add before we leave Alpha. For now, those are on hold to focus exclusively on UI. The interface is the last major element not content-related that needs to be brought up to snuff.
Now... Onto the real topic here. As you can guess, as substantive as these additions are, the content size doesn't match up with how long the last update has been. The short of it is that I suddenly needed to take a month off. The long of it, well...
So, I've been working on this project for quite a while now. Early on, there was some uncertainty that I could even pull this whole thing off. I'm not that familiar with Actionscript, and the UTG foundation I was using could only go so far in translating a lot of the more complex text mechanics from the original engine.
By some miracle I managed to pull things together, but even when things were hard I was still able to produce results in a timely fashion -- so timely, in fact, that I'd often have a good week or so left in the month to test and tweak a major mechanic. It was... A compelling struggle for me, if that makes any sense.
But that time has long past. I'm more than familiar with the language now, and most of the mechanics are done. What remains is content; fresh, high-volume content. This is where the trouble starts.
I was always slow and overambitious with the content I produced, but that was never really a problem before because there wasn't any expectation for me. If I needed an extra month, nobody'd notice. That's not exactly the case anymore.
To make a long story... Slightly less long, a lot of anxiety started building up, month after month of increasingly narrow deadlines and increasingly longer delays. Eventually, there was a breaking point where I just couldn't do anything. I had to drop it all.
That's what I've been doing this month, making some effort to recover from the duress I've put myself through in the previous months. I can totally understand any confusion and frustration this might've caused, and I sincerely apologize if that is the case.
I'm still passionate about the project, but I have yet to find an elegant solution to this problem -- I'm still trying to work out my personal problems. It's very likely that we may move to a more erratic "when it's done" update cycle, rather than the previous "once a month" cycle -- however erratic the updates already were over the last few months.

Hopefully, that'll be enough.

2016-10-25 02:17:54 +0000 UTCHey no problem I know how deadlines can really put a lot of stress on you. No one would blame you or be mad if you needed a break every now and then to help you get back into the grove of things. Just let us know you got a pretty good crowed following you and we are very much willing to wait if its needed. Were all eager to see this project flourish and grow and are looking forward to seeing your creativity shine. Keep up the great work I myself and many others do look forward to your additions.
