2021-01-14 22:37:26 +0000 UTCI'm fairly content with how it turned out, mainly because of her acting chops, but I'm still annoyed I didn't get any shots of her actually in the plant prop. I did try to arrange another shoot with her when she passed through my area about 2 years ago, but we couldn't get our schedules free at the same time, so I couldn't quite redeem what I missed with #19!

2021-01-14 22:19:56 +0000 UTCLOL! Stress does have that effect on people. We've all been there. I wouldn't call it a goof. It's still an entertaining film with a hot actress. I was just curious why the plant was MIA in the ending. Now I know!

2021-01-14 22:10:15 +0000 UTCHaha, it was actually a total oversight! I had the prop and fully intended to film it eating her. After getting several shots of her being pulled in, I guess my brain just invented a shot of her feet sliding through the prop’s teeth and I just went on my way. It wasn’t until I reviewed footage later that I realized I missed it! She was only in town the day we shot, so I couldn’t get her back. I was under a lot of stress during that time period, so maybe that’s why I goofed so badly...

2021-01-14 19:47:18 +0000 UTCAlway enjoyed commentaries. I went back and watched VM 19 after you mentioned it in here and noticed something. You never actually see the plant eat the actress. You see the vines snag her but you don't see the plant consume her like VM 6. Was this an artistic choice or was it more of a practical issue? Also, Rachel was my favorite before the appearance of Austin. It's a shame you weren't able to get one more movie out of her.
