This months bit ... small and medium ballista!

I have been adding some details to the medium ballista. Some texturing details and another part for the bow section to make it not so flat. So this will be this months main bit!

Of course now with the Viking era approaching, I am wondering if there any bits we can do for that setting. One that comes to mind is a wooden chopping block with an axe stuck in it. Any other ideas for a Viking village? Flags?

On a different matter ... I have been working on a request, the Wako Pirate Shop as 2D VTT files.

Test feedback so far is great. So this is something I can also add to my list. I didn't have any VTT experience myself, but in these times I can see how attractive this playstyle has become. Are any of you interested in VTT gaming?

Today I am taking pics of the Viking builds I have, so expect so see them the coming days!

As a deco option for the buildings I have been making Viking shields (turns out Saxon shields are basically the same! Good for me. Less work:-)) For presentation I have made a page with different options. I think I have shown these some time ago, but I'll show them again now :)

That's it for today. More tomorrow!

Haha, I have no experience with VTT and I am more a crafter than a gamer anyway, so I am not missing too much these days. A couple of guys and girls from our creators circle have been playing theater-of-the-mind sessions on and off via discord. Because of TOTM we didn't need anything other that our imagination. Yes, longboat looks like it will happen pretty sure sometime next year! Fire is a challenge to texture well, but maybe it's time I tackle my inner fear of fire and give it a try!

Hrm, perhaps a bonfire, taller than a man, the kind of thing to gather around on a cold evening. Also, in line with the boats, a viking longboat? As far as VTTs go, I don't see the fascination. I've tried it a few times and it just isn't playing an RPG to me, it feels cold and lifeless like an MMO, rather than a tabletop game with friends (and snacks). My group and I suspended our game due to Covid last April and unanimously chose not to do VTT (as one friend stated, 'No D&D is better than BAD D&D'.)
