Australian Wildlife Relief set coming ...
Added 2020-01-28 08:48:33 +0000 UTCThe last months it was all over the news: the 2019/2020 season bush fires in Australia have been the worst in a long time. Both humans and animals have suffered on a massive scale. Homes and territory have been lost to the fires and for the animals - esp the ones that are just to slow - the fires meant death for so many.
But amidst this drama I have also seen many reports about people helping ... and I hope that we - you and I, with the help of my papercrafting designer and builder friends - can add a little support in the help efforts.
I am in the process of setting up a set where the theme is Australian wildlife rescue. The income of this set will be 100% donated to a wildlife rescue organization (more on that later).
The idea is to have some props and minis on your table so you can reenact the saving of wildlife, you have enabled through your donation. I hope to not only reach the usual crowd of tabletop gamers but also anyone who enjoys building paper models (maybe even dads or moms building for their kids).
Today I am presenting the small and large animal shed I am contributing to this set. But it's not only me. Many of my papermini designers have donated existing or even new exclusive paperminis of animals and rescuers to this cause. And I will start showing them tomorrow.
If you want to support this at this stage please help spread the word. So much damage has been done and the private funded organizations will need help and support for many weeks, months or even years to come.
I am also working on other things, the most current is the 12" wide update to the Chinese Courtyard house. I will show WIP pics soon in another post.
