Step by step: curly hair

Today I want to to provide you a step by step tutorial, this time without any text, only picture slides.
If it's of any interest I can make a in depth tutorial later.
In short:
I start off with making a simple base, basically a blob. Then I start making curly details around the base. Super curly hair is supposed to look messy, so I'm going with messy without thinking much about which way the strands should fall.
In step 6 I start with the textures of the hair. I start with a lighter color than the base, and work on textures and highlights until step 11, each step with a lighter color.
In step 12 I start with shading and highlighting, super simple, with the burn and dodge tool. I highlight where the curls moves "away from the face" and shades where it moves "in towards the face". If that makes sense. This creates depth in the curls.
From step 14 and until step 16 which is the final result, I only edit the hair with different types of lights, shades, contrast etc. to make the curls pop more.
