Tutorial time - and this time: winter landscape!
This tutorial comes in two methods, and I'm doing one method today, and the other method in tomorrows post!
Method one: the editing version
How I show you guys this method works through Photoshop, but I am sure many other programs either has the same features, or similar ones, so I hope each and every one of you find this helpful, even though you don't have Photoshop!
Step one: Take a picture from SSO, or any picture really. Where doesn't matter.

Step two: desaturate the warm tones. Click on "create new fill or adjustment layer" og the button on the bottom right, and click on "channel mixer" and select "monochrome". Then adjust the red, green and blue. Drag the bars and adjust for the best result. Which result is "the best" you'll figure out after you have done this a few times.

Step three: Now select the layer mask, and go to the "image" tab at the top left. Click on "apply image". Now you can see that the colors looks a bit washed out compared to the original colors.

Step four: Select the original base layer, then go to "select" tab, and click on "color range". Now drag the fuzziness bar until you're satisfied with the selection. The white parts are the areas that will get selected. After you have selected, use the magic wand tool to delete unwanted selection.

Step five: Add a new blank layer, underneath the layer mask, and over the original layer. Click on the "edit" tab, and select "fill". Fill with white.

Step six: Move the fill layer at the top, and double click the layer to open the layer style window. Hold down the "alt" key and move the slider until you're satisfied with the blending.

Step seven: Open up the "curves" panel, and click on "auto"

Step eight: Add a "color lookup" adjustment layer and select "crisp winter". Then adjust the layer opacity so the blue color isn't too intense

Step nine: now do your regular editing and adjustments until you're satisfied!

And finito!

Hope this helps some of you, at least that those of you who doesn't have photoshop can pick up a few tricks!
Stay tuned for tomorrows post, then you'll receive a more universal method of doing winter landscape!
Hugs from Cath ❤
