Development Log : Week of June 2 - June 8

Since I don't want to be continuously spamming everyone's e-mails every day with my progress report, I'll be editing this pinned post throughout the week instead.

Current Stretch Goal

• $300 per month to unlock spicy side stories  (Currently: $424/$300)

June 2

• CHAPTER 2-2 IS FULLY FINISHED 🎇

• 21,470 Lines, 132,362 words (+ coding) (Not including the new Merlin's Guide + Text Messages + Gosub stuff)

• Going back to check/fix previously reported bugs + new additions in the past chapters (Still have the Ending + Cheats files to check)

June 3

• All code has now been manually checked.

• Quick Test passed.

• Currently ~40,000 out of 100,000 runs on Random Test, so that'll be taking awhile.

June 4

• Changed dead Zendonaldson's links in Merlin's Guide

• Random Test found a bug on iteration 90,000+ 🥲 Start over again.

• Random Test finally passed 100k+!

• Created the new version of the game & hopefully successfully uploaded it to Wordpress

•  Closed Beta & update schedule posted to Patreon

June 5

• Started working on Merlin's Guide to Minor Neutrals

• *holding a memorial for Zen Donaldson's site & the old version of Nightbringer.se*

• Double-checking my facts is taking 3x as long as before 🫠

• The freaking Wayback Machine is down so I can't even use the archive to look at Zen Donaldson's!

• 4 entries done.

• The Arthurian werewolves have already made their debut, it's time for the zombies.

• Also, pushed a hotfix for a bug in the new messages that's triggered by MC's bond with Adrian being manipulative because apparently 100,000x Randomtest still isn't enough to get all of them.

June 6

• 7 more entries to Merlin's Guide to Minor Neutrals written today, although I ended up moving the 3 Alexanders over to Minor Allies instead

• Now fighting with OneDrive which stopped auto-backing up my game files 😖

June 7

• 10 more entries to Merlin's Guide to Minor Neutrals written today

• 2 entries got booted over to Minor Enemies instead while Klingsor the Penisless Necromancer (yes, yes, the zombies) gets promoted to Major Neutral after Merlin's entry rambled on for several paragraphs about him

June 8

• 7 more entries to Merlin's Guide to Minor Neutrals written today

• Spent most of the time syncretizing the five million Arthurian Irish kings to real life historical counterparts in the fifth century.

• Otherwise, the zombie invasion continues.

• I've given up on OneDrive as a secondary auto backup. It just doesn't work with Windows 7 anymore, it seems. Hopefully, one auto-backup with Google Drive will be enough.
