As the dialogue says, I'm in a heap of trouble. Recently, I moved residences and was offline for a few days during that process. Overall, the move went as well as it could. I thought I was going to die a few times, but got through it! I set up my temporary desk and hooked up my computer in order to get a little work done while everyone was asleep. It wouldn't start. I mean, no power to the CPU at all. I tried different outlets, different power cords... nothing. It had worked just fine before I moved. Not being the best with computer hardware, I took it in to a repair shop and they were able to start it by grounding the power. I breathed a sigh of relief. It was the power button, nothing more. They rewired it so the reset button would act as the start button, tested it in the shop and it worked. $25 charge, no sweat. I get home and hook it up, press the reset button and... nothing.
Now I feel like I'm just an idiot or something. It worked there, why not at home? Having watched them switch the cords I checked and all cords were plugged in correctly. Went back to the shop yesterday and they also could not start it the way they did the previous day. Diagnostic time. Something shorted on the motherboard and caused it to fry. In addition, the processor wasn't working properly either. They had to order the specific parts for my build and after all is said and done, I'm going to be paying about $800.
Of course, this had to happen right after the move where I used my entire safety net and available cash to close on the house. ><
If you are interested and able to help, please send me a note with what kind of render commission you would like! If you can't, please share this around!
There's... *clears throat* also a donation button in the links below if...*shifts uncomfortably* you want to, you know, donate something.
Just so you know this isn't a scam, the two pictures above were rendered in January and meant to be a look into how I was feeling at the time. That's why in the second image, I'm not looking at the camera. I used the best images I could ><
