Monthly Challenge #2: Trance Development, Week 1! (April 2025)

Alright.

I'm writing this on the 7th. I procrastinated, I admit it, but it was because I was doing other (higher-priority) Jockout work I swearrrr. I also like, kinda lost my hearing in my right ear due to allergies for a few days, weird stuff, which made me very lethargic and slow. BUT WE'RE HERE NOW!

To reiterate the """rules""" for this challenge, they're simple... and as follows:

THE RULES, A REFRESHER, JUST A REFRESHING LITTLE SIP OF BUREAUCRACY

1. Pick your own trancing schedule (something that's a bit ambitious, but reachable) and stick to it. Can be "per week" or even "per month" or whatever, however you'd like to shape the goal yourself. I am aiming to trance daily; you don't have to, and you're not less valid for a lower goal.

2. They don't have to be just Jockout files.

3. The aim of this challenge is Trance Development. What's that?

Trance Development = developing your skill with trance.

All that being said, this post is gonna be a little check-in to see how you guys are doing with it, if participating, and to discuss my own challenge progress. If you're not in the Discord, not to fear, you can comment/DM the Community Chat here if you'd prefer. But I WILL say that the Monthly Challenge thread in my server has been popping off tbh, I'm very pleased (and grateful) with the engagement it's got, including and especially the loyal listeners who are sharing their little "trance reports" as they go. Fun to read, and interesting! <3 Also lets me address any comments/concerns directly, which I always appreciate. If you wanna join me there, feel free...

BUT.

Otherwise, re: how it's gone for Jockout...

So far, this is my success rate.

So we're 7 for 7!

But Jockout, what have you been brainfucking yourself with?

I've been trancing mostly to a yet-unreleased Avis Sapiens file... a file I personally helped reduxing because I wanted to see it get a reboot, and I've been enjoying it a lot! Also interspersing that with the following...

I plan to play around a little during this month to see if I can get some more files to recommend you guys, but for now, this is what we've been working with.

But Jockout, that can't be all! Aren't you going to give us some obligatory think-y content here too?

First of all, "think-y" is not a word, but I love that for you dummy.

Second of all... yes, I am!

Now.

As already mentioned.

I am writing this late, and I'm writing it pretty underslept too, haha. So I'm wary of trying to get too deep or waxing philosophical when brain does NOT go brr; but wanted to just briefly say, on the subject of trance quality... it's not some metric depth that you achieve and never varies again. This week, I'd say I had "good trances" on 3 days and "bad trances" on 4. I still always enjoyed myself, but some felt more intense and others less; and that's OK.

Trance is easy. It's natural. If reading that pisses you off, remember: flow state is trance. Highway hypnosis is trance. Any state of intense focus, a shift from the external to the internal (or vice versa, a complete departure from the internal and fixation on the external as in the case of pendulum inductions...) is trance, and we ALL, deliberate hypnotic subjects or not, enter and leave trance many times a day.

But dipping into the kind of trance most of us imagine as necessary for hypnosis, that more "Intense" state, is hugely affected by the transient condition of your body and mind. Simply put: trancing sick is harder than trancing while well. Trancing anxious is harder than trancing while calm. Etc. And we don't always know that we're not in a good place to drop until we try to, and discover it doesn't feel as good as we'd like.

It happens. πŸ’–

My challenge for you, is that if you try to drop and find yourself frustrated with how it's going, give yourself grace. Perhaps that means sticking with it, and being gentle with your self-talk... or maybe it means putting the file off for the day and doing something else. Your response doesn't have to be static.

The point of a Monthly Goal like this is that your skill at dropping WILL improve, little by little, if you practice. Hypnosis is no different to bodybuilding/weightlifting in that way; even if you have a bad lift, a good one's often just around the corner! You've just gotta make the commitment to show up, and give it a go, and see what happens. πŸ’–

So let me know! How'd your own first week go? How are you feeling about week 2? And if you didn't join me for Week 1... why don't you consider hopping in for Week 2 anyway? Late entry is acceptable. πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ
