New SIFT Device Switching Circuit and Schematic.

Here is the new SIFT switching circuit. This circuit offers lower current draw, lower on resistance, and reduced component count compared to the older design. This will be added to the display and amplifier PC board present in the next video.

I would love to get a copy of the complete plans for this SIFT foil side detector. But I can’t seem to find them anywhere on Patreon, other than the experimental schematic.

Great device Thank you very much Mr. Paul

Noting that, at minute 10:41, it is mentioned that a parts list will be attached to this video. Such a list ended up tacked on to the bottom of document "SIFT display and switch component map.pdf" from video #49 (08/02/18). I bring this up because the circuit in this video is part of the evolution of the final SIFT device and represents the lower or switching half of the final design. The top, non-switching half, from video #47 (07/02/18), contains a parts list that specifies what type of capacitors are required, tantalum, ceramic, etc. The parts list as mentioned above for the switching half omits the type. Moreover, the welding together of these 2 parts lists leads to other confusing elements. The replacement of the 0.39uF capacitor with a 0.01uF capacitor is one. This is mentioned verbally in #49, but the swap is not documented in the attachments. Another is that the non-switching parts list calls for two 4.7M resistors, but the final SIFT layout only uses one - the 2nd one, which went to Signal In, has been eliminated. A complete parts list should be attached to video #49.
