On the "Train in a tunnel paradox" video

In my last post I talked a bit about the "Train in a tunnel paradox" video that I published on TikTok and YouTube a few months ago. I didn't mention that originally the video was a bit longer. Here is the initial version I published on TikTok!

As you can see, the scene opens with lamps turning on - one after the other - at the train station. They follow the music beat. I ended up deleting the video a few hours after uploading it. I realized that I made a bit of a rookie mistake. You see, on TikTok people quickly scroll from one video to the next. It is absolutely crucial that a message/promise is delivered in the first 1-2 seconds. While I liked the original intro, I had to admit that it was unnecessary. More than that, it was damaging the video performance. So I cut it and added a message right on the very first frame. You can see the final version here.

By the way, I have quite a bit of other unpublished material from the work I did on the longer video. It includes a much longer script, more animations and my attempts of doing voice-overs. I think I'll throw away most of it, but I intend using the script for a separate video. I think some of the remarks I made in there are pretty cool. I hope others will like them, too.
