Jay Kennedy was our editor at KFS. He championed the strip and introduced me and Mel. Sadly he drowned a month before the strip debuted. I still mis him.

On a funnier note: I almost named my animal avatar Ed Meower, but I'm not a huge fan of cats. Now that I realized we could have made it a Garfield/Heathcliff spoof, I wish I'd done it.
