August Update

Hello my darlings!

Get ready for a sleep deprived discombobulated update!

I just got back from Denver today - my two best friends & I drove there from Chicago last Monday because my dads’ friend is a vet and offered to perform surgery on Badu to try and save her life and HE SUCCEEDED! My babygirl is doing really well all things considered and I can finally climb out of my depression hole and start creating again!

I’m so incredibly relieved and overwhelmed with joy that I get to have a couple more years with my sweet ol girl.

I’m also taking over a friends’ apartment (got the keys today) and turning my current apartment into a photo studio that I’ll rent out to other photographers and models to hopefully climb out of my financial crater of a situation thanks to Covid and well... 2020.

I didn’t make enough money in 2019 to qualify for unemployment now (being self employed also worked against me for that) and then I tried to get on SNAP & Medicaid and I make too much for that so lol I’m fucked either way.

I’ve been working on this studio idea for years now and have been talking to my friend about taking over her apartment one day for years now and of course leave it up to my luck that she’d leave right in the middle of the worst year ever.

Anyway I really hope this studio venture works because I really don’t know what else to do.
