First of all, every time a log in to Patreon I am excited and terrified by how many of you are here, to support me whilst I surrender more and more of my soul to this blond gremlin of a man. I didn’t expect this, like at ALL, and it’s crazy to me that through the highs and lows, this little refuge has continued to plod along and reach a stage where it is helping pay my way through life. I can’t thank you enough, whether you‘ve been here for the long haul, or just dropped in for a little while, I appreciate all of you.
So, one of the things I’ve always cared about is teaching. Or rather, I like to feel like I can help! Watching other artists grow is incredible. Seeing them succeed, find happiness in their work, learn new things and grow in confidence… I dunno, it‘s really neat. So, for Christmas this year I wanted to share a tutorial on one of the things I am asked most about, which is how I do my lighting!
I use Procreate but this is transferrable to other software for sure!
For 2023, tutorials are going to become something I do much more often. Ultimately, I’m still very much figuring things out, and I am far FAR from an expert, but I hope these tips can help.
Thank you, again, for being here with me. I wish all of you a safe, comfortable, and warm festive season.
