Next month's bedtime stories will be much better, I promise.

It's possible this is an unpopular opinion but I know you were worrier about the editing. For a bedtime story, I actually really like the unedited nature of this. The breaths and the needing to say a word again to pronounce it right, makes it seem like you're actually reading to us rather than listening to a script. Very good job
