The JoBros all young too is wild to see. Plot wise I think this is a bit weaker compared to HSM, respect to HSM for that - some scenes in Camp Rock are just downright cringe lol. Yes the writing is horrid and the overall theme lacking, but nobody can deny her star power in this, especially when competing with the Jonas Brothers at the peak of their career. To this day her music from her debut album in same year (2008) remains some of her best.

Also love how in this rewatch I noticed the plot hole that Tess steals Mitchie's songs and it doesn't really amount to anything. Or was she just confirming that the song was hers?

Those two may have had a super messy romantic life but goddamn they made magical duet partners. While I know the likelihood of you watching the whole series is extremely low- I would love for you to let someone create a little playlist/document that lets you watch/listen to the music from Julie and the Phantoms. That is some of Kenny Ortega’s best work and but with Netflix money and freedom. Every original song in that show is so good!
