I thought it was having an aneurysm or something and terrified that I was never gonna wake up again I don’t know about you, but it happens very sporadically and it’s not induced by alcohol or diet or stress. It just happens and you jump in your bed and you think somebody’s breaking into your house it’s awful.

Yes, I do have exploding head syndrome and like you, Joey, it freaked me out the first couple of times it happened to me a couple of times in one night, and then nothing, and I was terrified to go to sleep for like three nights in a row, thinking it was gonna happen again.

2024-04-01 21:04:18 +0000 UTCI also have exploding head syndrome. It freaked me the hell out the first time, but it's weird because at least in my experience, you know that it was a hallucination. I didn't actually think my entire room just exploded simply because I could see it hadn't
