Whispers of the Eyeless is the first standalone PC game that we are creating as the newly founded Evil Gingerbread Studio.

You venture to a dark fantasy world inspired by Polish culture of the XVII century. As the last person aware of the existence of the Dead Gods, you are undertaking a task to create a cult that renews faith in these mysterious dark entities. Wrath, Desire and Madness are your ultimate masters now. But on your path there are the followers of Valour, Purity and Knowledge -the Living Gods, entities that stand in opposition to your masters. You must make great sacrifices to achieve ultimate victory in this war of faith.

The game is a hybrid of light RPG, RTS and tabletop. You travel through the ancient city of Arathor and make decisions like in classic RPG games. But you must also manage your cult, your followers, and how you want to spend the power generated by their faith. The choices you make change not only quest outcomes, but also major mechanics and may even alter how the game looks. Each time you play, different decisions will lead to a different game experience, mechanics or minigames. But this is not all. Completing game chapters or even completing the whole game unlocks more to play. We have created our own simple tabletop RPG system that is linked to the PC game. Everytime you finish specific parts of the game, you will receive a printable scenario that will be customized based on your playthrough. You then can have fun with friends reliving your adventure in the Whispers of the Eyeless tabletop RPG, which is similar to classic Dungeons and Dragons or Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play.

Kickstarter is an opportunity for us to finish the game at our own pace without anyone telling us what we can and what we cannot do. It would allow us to pursue our clear vision for the Whispers of the Eyeless.  Additional funding means also we can work full time on the game without worrying about troubles in the normal world. But more importantly, we want to create this game with your direct involvement. The Kickstarter rewards we want to provide will allow you to have an active role in the game creation process and its final shape. As a full-time modder for the last 5 years, I have learned that no game can be good without listening to its community. And now we want to not only give you the voice, but also the torch that can light our path. Will you help us in restoring the order of the Dead Gods?
