I GOT MY FIRST BATCH OF CUSTOM STICKERS DONE!!!
Yesterday I met up with a good friend of mine, online known as "CaptainHanyuu". We studied graphic design together and she offered me to bring her plotter with her to my place to print and cut some custom stickers. Unfortunately we didn't have much luck with her own personal merch project of printing a Zine with my printer (it could NOT provide the seeked results for the chosen paper), but we were able to print a first dozen Maybug-and Joltik stickers!!
Our first attempt were the Bug hug / MENACE TO SOCIETY stickers. They turned out a tad too big for my taste and the plotter unfortunately frayed the border - you can see it at the edges that the colored border got a bit damaged.
Putting a layer of FOIL ontop of the sheet however resulted in a clean cut - so we decided to go for the foil stickers I wanted to do instead.
Now I got a whole batch of cute little Nugget and happy Maybeetle stickers for the next convention :3c We'll probably cut more in the future, next time at my friend's place, so she doesn't have to drive so far carrying her plotter machine.
MAN I am so happy with these first stickers. It's my first time EVER to hold my own hand-crafted stickers in my hand - or 100% hand-crafted merch in general, given that I order prints of my posters and postcards out of house online. Haven't felt this GIDDY about my own merch in a while, I LOVE IT :D
I'll soon be signing up for another convention in Hamburg for October 2025. Crossing my fingers I'll be getting both into next years Dokomi and Polaris! I'll keep you all updated on that, results for Dokomi will release in January.
