I note that the issue of the photoshoots were raised. To be clear, the extra m/m content in the photoshoots is a boon - they're not made by me, but by photographer Blake Yelavich, who made them for SpaceCorps for free. Since he's gay, the photos are of men. If I was getting free pro-photos of women, I'd be posting those up too 😉

Okay honestly can we dial back here please? The guy just so much as voiced his own opinion for what he thought might be a problem going forward. Ranli answered. There are games and creators of other things that will abandon one side if it gets heavily outweighted by the preference of people paying that concern, anyone should understand. He should be allowed to voice his concerns it's his money as much as anyone elses that supports this game he did not voice any ill things towards m/m in any kind except that due to preference he wouldn't spend money on it (and seriously would m/m player spend money on a f/m game?) so can we just leave it be?

You're essentially the vegan in the restaurant complaining that you don't want to pay your bill for the food you ordered if they're going to be serving meat to the other guests. Yes, that's toxic behavior. Or, if you want an even more accurate analogy, you're complaining because they've dared to mention being gifted meat ingredients while you were waiting for your next salad. It's inherently selfish and disrespectful behavior. If I had complained about all the straight content early in the dev cycle when that was by far the majority of available content to be had, no doubt someone would have called me out on that, and rightfully so.

Gods be good. Frankly, from my PoV, it seems obvious that you str8 guys are so used to being given special treatment as priority #1 that any hint of equal treatment is perceived as a threat. 'Oh no, the dev has been posting content made *for him* that I'm not into. Better sound the alarms!' The 'spike' you're complaining about isn't even stuff that will ever actually be in the game. If you take the photoshoots into account then yes m/m content has more posts this year if you take it out then no they are literally the same. I mean fluctuation happens over the years? We had times where there was more f/m and then times where the opposite is the case gonna even out again surely. Also I mean I think the fact Ranli is trying his best to make it as equal as possible is something everyone should appreciate because honestly m/m options dominating here on patreon in polls is nothing new xD Actually there has not even been a poll where the overall winner wasn't male yet lol and the fact Ranli keeps it roughly even no matter how hard the male option beat out the females in polls speaks for itself I would say ^^

Ah. So you didn't fail to read that bit so much as just ignored it. Guess that's alright then. Plot the preponderance of new m/m content (be it in-game or in the feed, e.g. the all-male photoshoots) on a graph month by month and I'm fairly certain you'd see a very tall... THING emerge recently. If it's not a spike then I don't know what the hell it is. If I see a pattern which suggests things may be heading in a direction I'm not fond of I'm going to voice my concerns. That's my privilege as a patron, as it is yours to try and refute the pattern (however poorly). But hey, if it'd make you more comfortable I suppose I could just stop giving Ranli my money.

and maybe if you're gonna rebut you should read all the words of mine, considering I listed the updates from basically the beginning of the year. And I stand to what I said: there is NO spike in m/m content, just equal opportunity, considering that we got two mostly f/m (Anna and Fatima, the former of which was actually totally f/m) and two mostly m/m (Sam and Cole, the latter of which also catered to specific kinks like cuck that had a sizeable female component). And the next will be Cis which will be most probably in the Anna/Fatima category.

@Ranli: Glad to hear some reassurance from the one person whose thoughts on the topic are actually relevant. @Luca: Quite sure I'm not confusing them, yes. Note the bit that said "for the last several months". (Or did I just imagine the Cole update and all the cosplay pinups?) If you're going to bother responding please do read ALL the words. I just wanted to be sure in light of this poll that the m/m spike was indeed a spike, not a trend.

Hi JK - you have no need to worry 😀 I'm bi, myself, so I'm always going to make roughly equal m/m and f/m content... it's my own sexual preference. These polls are a way of finding out which male and characters you guys prefer, not where the gender balance should lie. As a side note, the next update will revolve around Cis. Oh, and stay tuned for an announcement about a way I plan to increase content of all kinds... 😏

which focus on m/m content?! The Anna update was totally m/f, the Fatima update was mostly m/f, the Sam update was mostly m/m and the Cole update quite mixed with kinks like cuck. I assume the Cis update will be mostly m/f too. The love interests are 3f/2m, and the various encounters during the prologue are fairly even, with even a slight preponderance of females. Are you sure you're not confusing focus with equal opportunity?

Ranli will certainly tell you better, however if conisdering the composition of the MC crew-companions, i. e. three women and two men, it is pretty obvious, the f/m content will always be somewhat more present than m/m. Ranli takes pains to give both contents regularly and probably will do it in future as well, be it in one update or within two subsequent. Simply do not expect every month new supply of mindless milfs etc. there are other games for this type of content.

The game still has plenty of f/m content upcoming iirc, and Ranli does try to keep a balance between both f/m and m/m. I think there aren't many reasons to worry. However, if you notice a lot of patrons who are very active on m/m polls and content, it's because very few 3D games have the amount of quality and thought put into them as this one has in terms of that. I'm sure there's going to be a lot more f/m as time passes

Can I be honest? I'm beginning to fear for this project. The focus on m/m content for the past few months has, I suspect, driven away many of those who aren't here for that, which means that the population of active patrons skews further towards m/m fans, and... well, I'm sure I don't need to explain how feedback loops work. If content's going to be decided by polling patrons, you're going to reach a tipping point pretty quickly. And while the makers of m/m focused games have my full moral support, my FINANCIAL support is a different matter. So tell me honestly - should I be worried?
