Scramble the best spin team we have!

Ryan Freedman

Excellent review, I hadn’t thought of this film in years! Something about the beta-in-bed shot made “Invaders from Mars” (‘86) pop into my brain, too. Love it.

Jay Benton

Great video! Great team up!

DimmieDim

Whoa! I didn’t know there were any jihads in that movie

TheSingingBush

Oh no. Tim bringing up Wil Wheaton when it’s not clear he’s even in the movie and Mike isn’t around for the obligatory Star Trek references makes me think that Wil Wheaton is the surprise guest…

Banta

RLM: Only the hottest of takes will suffice...!

Manuel Johnen

My husband said he found porn in the woods in Pennsylvania.

Angi

This movie will always remind me of my awesome grandfather

Nick Kerr

Oh, and the woods porn thing was real in St. Joseph Mo. in that general time frame. It was a Penthouse under a rock, lasted like nine months or so, losing pages and pictures torn out, until it finally got wet (rain, perverts) to the point it fell apart. Just that though. Inside was a different story.

Paul Randall

But I thought ET was saccharin shit, too. Still do.

Paul Randall

Junior in HS me regarded this as a shameless, lame-o, kiddie-ish Star Wars ripoff. I learned to appreciate it as a good movie later, but that initial taint has never really worn off, either.

Paul Randall

You guys should consider an 80s re:View series with My Science Project, The Gate, The Monster Squad, Real Genius.

andrew

Ernest Cline ripped off this movie to write Armada.

Rick Drake

Somehow, “porn in the woods” is a universal truth of the 80s. But we never were able to find porn in the woods in CT.

andrew

RLM is 1 for 1.

andrew

You boys did great!!! 🖤

Eleanor

Calling The Last Starfighter better than Star Wars…hot damn, this is why I give you guys money.

BENJAMIN SHULTZ

Everybody talks about the porn of the woods, but nobody ever talks about how it got there. Somebody put it there! You’re all adults. Go buy some porn today and hide it in a discoverable place in the woods. The future needs you.

neuracnu

Ah, that's the movie that Mike used in the Phantom Menace review to explain that the audience needed a fish-out-of-water character to explore the story world along with the character. I didn't know that until now.

Marvin Falz

Left to right, Josh, Mike Stoklasa age 70, Tim.

Beckoning Chasm

Holy crap. I love these two. Finally met now doing a review together. Heck yeah.

THE_GnomeChomskee

Now I don't want to go to work! I'm calling the fuck out!!!

Nick Kerr

I had fun. I trust RLM. You make Positive contributions I very much need, your works Matter.

Frazzled Doo

Wizards&Moustaches

Frazzled Doo

Instead of tumble weeds.. Blown rolling balls of Penthouse and Swank ..like an 80’s NYC subway with newspapers..except better.

Frazzled Doo

Let's gather the troops and watch it at Tim's place!

Joan Scott Brockie

As a suburban kid, I found a torn page of porn lying in the street. There was no discreet way to take it home, so I had to leave it there. I still wonder about the one that got away...

Amanda Thompson

The discussion of woods porn continues.

David S

I hope more different re:View pairing means more re:View episodes in the future.

DonMac

No, but it's the 1st one without Mike, Jay, or Rich in over 6 years

DonMac

We've had Jack and Mack as well as Josh and Jim.

Tony Dupre

TIM AND JOSH!?AAAAAH! CANT WAIT TO GET HOME!

TooterFishPopkin

That might be the repressed memory, yes.

Amanda Thompson

Head deforming torture raygun-kill machine...?

Manuel Johnen

What a wonderful movie, I hope it's never remade. Tim and Josh is a nice combo, works great!

JTruts

Ah, "The Last Starfighter"... the Not-Quite-as-Awful-as-"Battle Beyond the Stars"-Dipshit-Star Wars-Rip-Off... ... ... Meh...

Manuel Johnen

that eyepiece was a major character in the movie.

casey

A classic I haven't seen in decades. I recall reading the novelization.

Glenn Ponka

yesssss! i guess i need to go watch Last Starfighter now

Tom McGraw

Are Josh and Tim replacing Mike & Jay????

Sean LaVista

This movie scared me as a child, and I'm not even sure why.

Amanda Thompson

Is this the first Re:View without Mike, Jay, or Rich Evans?

The Real Zam

One of the best moments in 80's genre cinema: Lord Kril: Damage report! Kodan Officer: Guidance system out. Auxiliary navigation out. Lord Kril: Divert! DIVERT! Kodan Officer: She won't answer the helm! We're locked into the moon's gravitational pull. What do we do? [Kril's eyepiece swings into place] Lord Kril: We die.

Brian E. Lindstrand

This was unexpected, but much appreciated!

Kellic

This gears my loins.

GrowSweeds

Looking forward to this

Spike Spiegel

Yay!!
