I found the first 45 minutes up to the "reveal" more engaging than the rest but it was still a fun ride. And I appreciated the campiness and humor. Okay movie, even without paying attention to a "message".

Pretty much everything after Justin Long's character is introduced felt like the movie asking, "Do you get it?" over and over. It's usually more interesting for a movie to explore questions and ideas than to make statements, and it felt like this one started out exploring, but then just ended up making a statement.
