⭐️ Shop News ⭐️
So I’d been planning to reopen my shop soon. Along with some new prints, christmas cards and all that. But Etsy just threw a massive wrench into those plans and “paused” my shop for the foreseeable future. The reason? Apparently, I didn’t reply fast enough to a few messages which in turn means I’m not meeting their “customer service standards”. From a business point of view, this is definitely a big deal because I will be missing out on Christmas sales. But for me personally it’s just incredibly frustrating because Etsy is already trying to push sellers into the mindset that we’re basically a tiny version of Amazon and for someone with a full-time job, that’s just not manageable. I’m not here to cry on your shoulders tho(I did that on discord already haha). I’m just letting you know that I would absolutely love to reopen my shop, I just can’t right now.
The consequences of this are that I’m going to kickstart the process of building my own online shop now though so who knows. Maybe if I’m fast enough, I can open a brand new shop in January and let Etsy be a thing of the past 🕺🏻
