There's just certain idol/trainees where even though they clearly lack in skills, you can't help but root for them. Mingyu, Doha, and Takuto are examples of that. They know they're lacking but they aren't afraid to go for it and try new things. Even though they get knocked down, struggle to keep up, get defeated and cry, they pick themselves back up and try even harder. And it's this type of attitude that makes them improve fast. Not to mention they have great personalities. Mingyu, I once heard someone describe him as a college Frat boy, and I can't think of him any other way. He's just not afraid of anything. His voice cracks? He'll just let it crack. And he just has such good energy that it keeps the vibe of the group up. Do I vote for him as one of my picks? No. But I wouldn't have been mad if he did make it in the top 9.

He was one of my main picks since the beginning and whenever people shared their personal top9, Taerae was nowhere to be seen :')) He went viral in korea also, which is such a hard thing to do and more people started voting for him after this performance.
