October Character Poll and Nomination Changes
Added 2020-10-01 23:32:47 +0000 UTCI'm changing up how I handle nominations and polls. There were a lot of complications last month with nominations--the process from the start has been a bit messy, and engagement was low. (Only wound up with 6 options and 100% of them were OCs--not that I'm against drawing OCs, but it'd make the poll feel a bit... stacked, and would leave people unhappy.)
I also don't want my own OCs to dominate polls. SO, a few things that I'll do differently:
- From here out, all poll options will be fanart
- There is no more nomination process; instead I choose the entrants myself, from things people suggest.
- Everyone can suggest characters in the comments of polls and "like" other peoples' suggestions. $10+ patrons get a bit extra consideration with this process.
- Polls are still 4 characters, and also include a question for themes and ideas
For the first month, I had to choose the characters myself, so I went with some more iconic options I've drawn in the past. The options are Stocking, Curly Brace, Etna, and Shantae! Next month will be based on suggestions!
The deadline to vote is October 8th!

Oh, it's a comic character, kind of a superheroine who has a lot of cool powers, but a super-fragile suit that grants them so she usually winds up caught and tied up. Actually a good series once it gets going. Done by Adam Warren, if you've ever seen his art or read any of his stuff - like a pseudo-manga style and a surprising amount of realism (of sorts) to his stuff.
