#ThankYouPatrons

Just wanna take a day to thank y'all for the support over the years. I started this page back in 2014 and it's only grown since then, and has brought forth a lot of works. I've also learned a lot of practical skills and a lot about myself from running this page, in no small part thanks to all of you.

Given the COPPA, my future is fairly uncertain at the moment. I have plans for all scenarios, but I'd very much like to focus on what I can do now. In all possible cases, they wouldn't be possible without all your guys' support.

i'm not TOO worried about being fined. I'm more worried about my ad revenue just vanishing. Again. Due to the way Youtube's approaching this situation.

Zedrin

While I understand the nervousness of content creators, keep in mind that the FTC answers to other powers, and if they start fining people without real cause, they're going to have to answer for it.

Ben Landry

That isn't accurate at all. The COPPA laws were written years ago and are horrifically outdated. The FTC has claimed they want to pursue claims against individual creators, including youtubers, via their press conferences.

Zedrin

Actually as weird as it sounds, the FTC is in the right for once. Google is just passing the buck onto YouTube's content creators instead of taking responsibility for their big brother style bullshit.

Dzib

It's not youtube. It's the FTC.

Zedrin

i fucking hate youtube

Dzib

I'm just glad I can support the creators I enjoy directly.

MetBoy

The FTC rules affect all of the internet. Bitchute is not an alternative. Videos are not being pulled on YT from the COPPA, they may however lose targeted advertising. Anything that would make less revenue that non-targeted ads would is not an alternative.

Zedrin

At least there's the BitChute Escape Pod.
