I'm just half kidding, since I really, seriously don't know. BUT, I can truthfully share this, and it's relevancy to the above WIP; I prefer to draw first and write later. The most success I've ever had with my OWN style is to just draw the characters. I have an idea of what's next, but instead of writing a script, I draw FIRST and let the ART write the dialogue.
SO since I'm so happy with Vara, the new character in Page 56, I began by drawing this expression! I have no idea how I'm gonna use it, HOWEVER, by the end of this "free Demo," you will join me as I find out how for the both of us!

Actually, I follow a similar process. I have a rough story in mind but the art doesn't always match up to the script I had planned so it pays to be fairly fluid and let your characters offer direction. Here, he looks like he's gone from warily curious to pretty narked off about something. Could it be he's got beef with the tornado people? Is he just annoyed that he's got to fix up ANOTHER injured person? Has he just remembered he forgot to put pants on again? We shall just have to wait and see.
