2023-01-24 17:58:04 +0000 UTCI recently purchased a cheap bluetooth speaker and the first time I turned it on, I nearly fainted! The woman's voice that says "bluetooth connected" sounds EXACTLY like Polly and it is creepy/weird/unnerving as heck.

2023-01-20 07:43:43 +0000 UTCI loved this season finale. Well done. I'm going to be worrying about Jack and Solomon/Jonah. I can't wait to hear more character developmenton jonah/Solomon! I just love your podcast! I'm a long time fan, just joined patreon though, so I'm new here. Steve, sending positive energy for your upcoming surgery, hope you have a speedy recovery.
2023-01-19 15:01:46 +0000 UTCI'm so sorry for your loss.
2023-01-18 11:45:20 +0000 UTCAbout a year ago I was telling my mom about your podcast. Scary or creepy stuff was very much not her thing, but she asked what I was listening to...anyway, she interrupted me about half way through with, "are you talking about haints and boogers?" See, mom grew up in Buncombe County, NC so of course she understood exactly what I was talking about. The conversation evolved from there into a very surprising, but pleasant talk, something that had gotten rarer between us over the last few years. Mom's health deteriorated not long after that and I spent much of this season listening to episodes while driving to see her or over lunch breaks when I had to start being her caregiver full time. She died in late Nov., and both your stories and the song "Panthers on the Mountainside" were a real comfort through all that, so thank you.

2023-01-14 17:13:02 +0000 UTCWe very much appreciate the clear content warnings (all the way up to vice principals) and I do make sure to listen first. She’s also an older kiddo!

2023-01-14 00:30:21 +0000 UTCWow, that's even more incredible! It tickled the back of my brain as something that felt like folklore, but that could even be part remembering the descriptions of the Bánánach of Irish folklore (which are definitely different, but related to the Morrigan, birds, yada yada)
2023-01-14 00:08:54 +0000 UTCOur show is written for adults, so that’s your call, fam. It’s not written to be (or ever promised to be) kid friendly. Depending on the age of your kiddo, we always recommend an adult listen first.

2023-01-14 00:05:22 +0000 UTCThe Night Folk are not based on folklore. They are Steve’s creation.

2023-01-14 00:03:57 +0000 UTCI'm also So Curious where the inspirations for the Night Folk came from, are there any specific ties to lore that they're based off of? I said you'll be in our thoughts, but my husband reminded me to also say you'll have a candle burning bright here on our home altar when we do our healing times. That's what Family does after all.
2023-01-13 23:37:00 +0000 UTCI SWEAR yall are trying to kill my heart and soul in the best way possible! That ending! These babies!!!! Oh lord, season 4... Please have a safe and (as much as possible) comfortable recovery Steve! Yall will all be in the thoughts of the Strawberry Patch over here in Oregon ❤️
2023-01-13 23:33:12 +0000 UTCGlad to hear.
2023-01-13 23:28:11 +0000 UTCIt’s not throat surgery or anything like that. We told y’all it’s nothing to worry about. It’ll be fine.

2023-01-13 23:23:28 +0000 UTCThis was a truly great episode. I'm sad it's over, but I will continue to relisten until ya'll come back. I hope ya'll have a wonderful break. Steve, I hope your recovery is a speedy one. I can't imagine anyone else's voice doing the narrating. Can't wait for season 4 to drop. Much love to you all. ❤️
2023-01-13 22:55:25 +0000 UTCThank you for giving the world something that allowed me to share my love of horror with my kiddo. We were thrilled with this episode (we're thrilled with all of them, but this one was just so beaver dam good). Super love the "cut scene" at the end. Malevolent is another favorite of ours and hearing Harlan Guthrie was a fun surprise!
