Update 10: on a new level

I live!

The forest garden in the pics are really only meant to test it's performance and show off the kind of atmosphere I'm trying to go for with it being larger then before. It looks really open and flat right now but the plans to fill it out to be more like a typical level. I've had to change things a ton to where it kind of feels like a new game at times. To a point where I've even updated the version of unity I'm using from 2019 LTS to 2020 LTS. Usually Unity dishes out updates that make making a game in unstable with how much they change things resulting in frequent crashes which I've had my fair share of. The "LTS" versions are more stable updates which have been great to work with, I've never had crashes unless it was by my fault. It's usually good practice to finish games in the same version you've started it on but I felt like it was a good time to update to a newer version to take advantage of newer features as long as there where no major issues with updating, which went smoothly.

Because of the larger size it's hard to have the lobby physically connected to the garden like it was before without it being inside it, so the garden doors literally teleport you now. It's to a point where it's pretty seamless and feels like you're still walking though the door but because its not physically connected I can also place it anywhere in the garden giving me more flexibility when making the gardens layout.

I also took the time to take a bit of a breather and am feeling much better and more fired up to take on updates again. I'll be back to weekly updates with my usual demo.
