Hello! Hear to let you know how things are going! As a stroke of luck, when about to start implementing support for the Rift, Valve released a new version of their steamVR plugin that really helps with exactly that among some other cool things. It simplifies a way of setting actions to buttons that the game can read as bindings on a VR controller. This allows an easy way to setup bindings through steam for a new controller, even for ones I haven't added myself! All you have to do is set up the bindings yourself through steam and you can then play without me even having to add support for it. Will of course have default bindings in place but it also means you can even add controls for devices right as they release on day one instead of waiting for me to update the game for them like for the infamous knuckle controllers.
But what it means for now is that most VR devices should be compatible with the next build of Kobold Garden! Here's the steamvr 2.0 release if you want to read more about it too: https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/1696059027982397407
I've been focusing a lot on VR this month and I hope to add back interactivity with bolds by the next update for both non-VR and VR too.
Halloween is also around the corner and to coincide with it there will be a small Halloween event you can trigger in-game where Kobold Garden gets a little spooky!
Or maybe not! If it's not done by Halloween it's because it's too spooky to finish! Ahhh!
