Slowly the eyes of the party shift back and forth between the diverging paths, a heavy silence filling the air as everyone waits for the others to talk first.
To the left butterflies float through the air as if suspended by the aroma of the flowers that they are dancing above. Sunlight ripples over the meadow bringing joy and life to everything it touches.
To the right the cobwebs shift with the unnatural energy that generates this veil of darkness, faintly between the dead trees and spun webs the hint of a creature darts from it’s den.
As one by one the group looks at each other a decision is made. That path is definitely a trap, only a fool would head there. With a nod they stride confidently forwards into the darkness.
