New Ambience: Brood Mother

Greetings Patrons,

Here's a sci-fi track, masquerading as a fantasy track, masquerading as a horror track. Wheels within wheels!

Brood Mother began its life as a sustained action sequence that would have been at home in a Mad Max film. As the work progressed though, various elements  (I'm not really sure which) started to lend themselves to a more claustrophobic escape-styled action sequence.

The Brood Mother herself came as I was playing around with some vocal processing on some tongue clacks which made a horrible, chitinous sound.  Then it was off to the races.  Teeming hordes of hatchlings, a humid hatchery, and ooze-covered walls, they're all here.

As I mentioned, this is sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. It can be one of the above, or any combination of the three. As long as something is chasing you, threatening you, or just standing in your way, this should work.

Musically, this track features lots of drums and synths. Strings and vocals play a supporting role. I added a bit of scratchy, organic tagelharpa  to make it a bit more visceral

As this is in Patreon-only sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version of the track (live on the site next week), in addition to ambience-only, and music-only versions. I also added 2 'no mother' versions in case she happens to be somewhere else (nothing to worry about, I'm sure?). I hope you find these useful.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

Dude, more of this please! Don't get me wrong, all your stuff is great. But this track works great as battle music and/or tense action scene. Love it!

Another absolutely beautiful track that will add so much to upcoming session. As someone who loves building atmosphere and tension in my games these kinds of tracks are always a must!

This'll go great for my 'Egg Heist' quest planned in the Underdark. My D&D party will thank you!

This is excellently timed, I have a swarm of giant spiders encounter to run for my group in the morning. Perfect fit

Mordax Praetorian

Excellent work! The mix is great, and the music can fit so many settings

It was a mistake to listen to this during work. I'm so stressed out now! haha
