Greeting Patrons,
This week I thought a journey to space would be just the ticket. This may have something to do with the fact that I've finally caught up with the latest episodes of The Expanse. One of my favorite aspects of the show are the hard-SciFi bits. Don't get me wrong, x-wings and tie-fighters that bank and swerve like WWII fighter jets are super cool. I'm a big fan of not letting the truth get in the way of a good story. However, I do appreciate when writers figure out a way to make something physically sound, as well as entertaining.
Burn Maneuver is an exterior space scene in which a vessel is either speeding up, slowing down, or changing course by firing its main thruster engines.
I've included the mixed audio track (on the site next week), plus ambience-only and music-only versions of this track here for patrons. There is nothing really sci-fi about the music in this, so I think it would work well across multiple stories and genres. I can absolutely see it being used in fantasy or modern games.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
