2025-12-29 00:44:37 +0000 UTCI think most people see Louis as good because in comparison to all the vampires we see he’s the closest to human morality, and I suppose his toxic traits don’t harm others as much as some of the other characters’ toxic traits

2025-12-29 00:01:24 +0000 UTCHearing you guys say that Louis is too kind or that he's nice is very interesting to me, because is he really? I love Louis, he's very dear to me as a character, but he's really not a good guy by any standards. He has a guilty conscience, and he still has human reservations as a vampire, but is he good? He's in denial about his own toxic traits, he was morally grey as a human, and he's very selfish as a vampire. He didn't even stop to consider the consequences of his actions when he had a little girl be turned into a vampire just to ease his own guilt. I think the writers could have easily had Louis be the clear-cut good guy with a pure heart to have us root for him even more, but I really love that they chose not to do that.
