Also Voldemort is not the same age as Snape or Harry’s parents. Snape, Lupin, Sirius, and Harry’s parents are the same age and went to school together. Voldemort is about 30 years older than them.

7. Draco spent a lot of time in that bathroom, forming an odd friendship with Moaning Myrtle and crying because he couldn't take all that pressure from doing his tasks, worrying about his parents, failing his classes, detentions, etc ☹️ 8. In one of the Tom Riddle memories, it's revealed that Tom applied for position as Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA) professor at Hogwarts. That time, Dumbledore was already the Headmaster. But Dumbledore feared Tom had a different agenda so he rejected him. Tom had applied once before to the previous Headmaster and got rejected because he was too young. So he was rejected twice. Because of that, it was believed he cursed the position and ever since, no one held the position of DADA professor for more than a year. 9. Ginny was known for her bat-bogey hex. Slughorn caught her doing it to defend someone else or something and he was so impressed, he invited her to the Slug Club dinner party 😂 even though she was a Weasley, someone Slughorn usually wouldn't pay much attention to, sadly.

He was also the radio DJ in Pitch Perfect 1. I feel like he’s everywhere.

I just remembered that the actor who plays Cormac McLaggen (the hot Gryffindor guy who liked Hermione) was Prince Friedrich from Bridgerton season 1 and he was recently on that show Peacemaker with John Cena. His name is Freddie Stroma.

They have the Weasley Twins’ Joke shop at the theme park! I think that’s where I bought my chocolate frog too

Dumbledore is really gone. I haven't read the books in years, but one of the last chapters in Half Blood Prince is called "The Lament of the Phoenix" or something similar, and that scene ALWAYS hits me hard. It's Fawkes' way of saying goodbye to his friend, his way of grieving. I am anxiously awaiting your reactions to the final two movies. :)

My favourite HP movie

Dimitrios Spyridon Chytiris

Something that is not explained in the movies is that Voldemort intended to split his soul into seven pieces, not to create seven horcruxes. Six pieces of his soul were made into horcruxes, while the seventh piece remained inside Voldemort himself. Therefore, Harry is looking for six horcruxes, not seven.

Think I'm going to order through library to start reading, then when I money buy the hardcovers. Thanks for the insight makes me excited to get reading .

1. The house burning scene at The Burrow (the Weasleys’ house) wasn’t in the book. For some reason, they put that in the movie instead of the other memories about Tom Riddle, which are crucial and way more interesting 🙄 2. Yeah idk what happened but book Ginny had so much more personality. If you read the books, you’ll love her and understand why Harry did too. 3. Severus Snape’s mother was a witch, her last name was Prince. His father was an abusive muggle. That’s why he used the name Half-Blood Prince. That book was his during his Hogwarts years. 4. Draco was pretty much coerced into doing the missions and becoming a Death Eater. After the Ministry of Magic incident, Lucius was sent to Azkaban and as punishment for failing to retrieve the prophecy, Voldemort moved in to the Malfoy Manor and made Draco a Death Eater and gave that suicide mission of killing Dumbledore. It’s also believed that his mother was held as leverage. 5. Harry didn’t drink all the Liquid Luck. He just took half. Before he left with Dumbledore, he gave the rest to the others to give them luck in case something bad was going to happen. 6. Igli is such a Ravenclaw. I love his remarks about Harry should’ve just aguamenti-ed Dumbledore’s mouth. It was a stressful situation for Harry though. Those things coming out of the lake in the cave were called Inferi. It’s like an army of corpse. Dark magic stuff. Voldemort was known to used inferi. In Snape’s defense against the dark arts class, he actually taught about ghosts and inferi. One was particularly a funny class when he roasted Harry and Ron here. Shame it’s not included in the movie. You have to read the books, if you haven’t started already!

Damn. I almost forgot how great this movie is and the book is even better. Some book lore that never comes up, the big Death Eater guy you saw here is Fenrir Greyback. He bit Remus Lupin when he was 4 or 5 years old out of revenge. The movies never really went into detail about Remus's condition but his story is very sad since he was transformed so young and it isolated him from a lot of people. The Whomping Willow was used to keep out people for when Remus transformed into a werewolf when he went to Hogwarts.

Are you guys planning on reacting to the return to Hogwarts special? I think you would really enjoy it!

Hérica

Question, and apologies if you guys already answered, but would you ever consider leaving your discussion at the beginning and end in the full reaction? Just cause I always want to hear what your thoughts were and it’s a bit jarring when it ends as soon as the movie does. All good if not but was just curious.

BecauseBeca

hahah cojo is so funny "cursed drip" + "old testament power" was hilarious

Karianna

the movie did not really explain it, but Snape's mother's last name was Prince and half blood is related to Snape's blood status as his mother was a pure blood witch and his father was a muggle. which is how he came up with the name the half blood prince.

aaron j.

LOVED this book!!! I was (far) less a fan of the movie adaptation.

Marcus

Agreed and my favorite book too. Only complaint is we did not get all the Tom Riddle flashbacks.

Cari

Great, this one, just like the book, was always my favourite.

Mateusz Osowski

Best movie in the series imo

Edgar Perez
