Yes as Heidi stated the killing of animals was a thing and not just for the series. Luckily there are still animals along with stray dog (known as the Dogs of Chernobyl) that still live in the exclusion zone. The ones that have lived and have reproduced have been able to adapt and luckily there are organizations that provide them with medical care while other study them as a way to disover how they have acclimated. In case you guys need some cherring up after that. https://www.statnews.com/2023/03/03/what-the-dogs-of-chernobyl-can-teach-us-about-life-at-the-edge/

Yes, this one is rough. I believe we should all know at least some of what the Ukrainians sacrificed, especially since they continue to suffer. Yes, ignorance is bliss, but in the face of these events, the case could be made that it is far better to be wise.

Unfortunately, the killing of pets and animals was not a dramatization and what actually happened. This episode was a rough one for me.
