When you are finished with this franchise, you should check out "A Discovery of Witches," starring Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer. It is currently through Amazon or on Netflix.

I forgot how much I disliked the wig Kristen Stewart was wearing during this movie lol

one thing about early to mid 2000s media is they will have their vampire heartthrob be an ex confederate 😭 (twilight, tvd, true blood)

The reason the Cullens didn't stand up for Bree wasn't because of Jane, Felix or Dimitri, but because of her brother Alec. Jane can cause her enemy to feel the worst pain imaginable, but her power is limited to one on one. Alec's power is to cause his enemies to feel nothing. He mentally paralyzes them. His power isn't limited to one on one. He can affect as many people around him as he wants making them completely defenseless.

Unsure if anyone has mentioned this but the whole imprinting thing is an unintention thing. The wolf pack can't just imprint on whomever they want, it just happens. Also it does not necessarily mean something romantic is involved. The next two reations will be entertaining for sure 🤍💜💚

Unfortunately, we will not be getting any Alice backstory. Her story was told in the first book and the movie didn't even use it. She doesn't have much of a story. When she was human, she was kept in an asylum and kept in the dark. Then she was turned but the vamp who turned her, was deleted by James. Alice woke up alone. She doesn't remember her human life at all. She was in an asylum probably cuz she was able to see visions. The only thing that saved her from turning into a regular blood sucker, her visions showed her how to find Jasper and then the Cullens. If I remember correctly, she was the one that got away from James. He told Bella that he was tracking a delicious human but someone turned her so he killed that vampire. That's why Alice woke up alone.

🤣😂 That's what I'm saying Igli! It IS necrophilia cuz they are technically not alive! 😂 Unless the lore says vampirism is a virus. To get around that, just become a vamp yourself, then you'll both be dead bodies. 🤭

personally my favourite movie out of them all!

What Maria said to Jasper was indeed Spanish. She said: "You want blood. And when you finally suck it, you will like it a lot. When you suck her blood..." and then cuts to Victoria in English saying: "I want you to do something for me: kill her."

Besides this, Bryce Dallas Howard is most known for the Jurassic World movies, The Help, Spider-Man 3 and playing Elton John's mother in Rocketman. She's also daughter of director/producer Ron Howard (Apollo 13, Cucoon, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Beautiful Mind, The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, Inferno, Frost/Nixon and Solo: A Star Wars Story). Rachelle Lefevre did not reprise her role as Victoria due to scheduling conflicts, though she said they could have easily accomodated her because it was only a 10 day overlap. Bryce was offered the role in the first movie but rejected it because she thought the part was too small. Anyway, I was always Team Jacob but he was definitely way out of line here (and the lines are cringey as hell), but apparently the reason why he changed so dramatically is because Stephenie Meyer didn't like that people were rooting for him and Bella instead of Edward and Bella, so she had to try to make him unlikable in the future books. I love the tent scene but I wish she would have had Jacob also say "I might like you" at the end. I still think Jacob is far less problematic and while constantly pursuing someone like Jacob is doing is not cute or romantic, he IS right. Bella DOES have feelings for him that she doesn't want to admit, but I don't think he and Bella would ever work as a couple because Bella is not IN love with him. Yeah, she kisses him because he threatens to kill himself (which is cruel and manipulative on his part) but she's also clearly enjoying that kiss. Bella is kind of having her cake and eating it too. Her words say she wants Edward but her actions are all over the place. She IS leading Jacob on in a way and I think it's because she just doesn't know what the hell she wants. And Edward was also in the wrong for talking about the engagement when he knew Jacob could hear. Edward is definitely more mature but you have to remember that spiritually and emotionally he is over a 100 years old, while Jacob is only 16. He also comes from a different time where sex before marriage wasn't a thing (Stephenie Meyer is a devout Mormon so it is very much in keeping with her faith). But he seems more concerned about HER virtue rather than his own. I feel like they are both in the wrong. Edward is pressuring her about the marriage thing and Bella is pressuring him about the sex thing. However, I do like that Edward points out that Jacob kissed Bella AGAINST HER WILL. He may be old school but at least he respects consent FOR THE MOST PART (you know, when he's not stalking Bella and coming into her bedroom to watch her sleep). I get where Matthew is coming from, the cringe-y love triangle drama is entertaining for sure. But I also agree with Igli about getting more on each of the Cullen's backstories, especially since they only go into Rosalie and Jasper's (which are both rather dark). They definitely could've made a book/movie just about that. The books go into some of the others' backstories though. Fun facts: This has a different director than the first two (all of the movies but the last two have different directors). It's directed by David Slade who has directed movies like Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night, as well as several TV shows and music videos. The first words you hear from Bella are from the poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost, where he muses on how the world will end. It is generally thought that Frost was equating the elemental force of fire with the emotion of desire and ice with hate. Both, of course, are important plot elements in Twilight. Originally, the scene where Jacob carries Bella to mask her scent, Taylor Lautner was to push Kristen Stewart on a cart, but it did not look real enough so Taylor agreed to carry Kristen himself. His arms were extremely sore as they filmed the scene all day. And here is the funny BTS of them filming the scene where Bella strokes Jacob in his wolf form: https://youtu.be/vRqU-93mHns?si=q9-s6zX-fQdOKOHR. How they managed to do a decent take without bursting out laughing beats me 😂 In the stories that Billy tells at the bonfire, the third wife was originally going to be played by Kristen Stewart. She did film the scene but director David Slade and author Stephenie Meyer thought it had an unintentional comical effect. When Bella punches Jacob in the face after he kisses her, you see Taylor Lautner laughing for a split second. In each take they did, Taylor had a hard time keeping a straight face. Kristen received her high school diploma by correspondence one week before filming Bella's graduation scene. She took a mock graduation photo with an extra so she'd have a photo of herself graduating high school. Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) is distantly related to Stonewall Jackson, a Confederate General fighting for the Confederacy in the Civil War. Sidenote: What is it with having vampires in movies/TV shows be an ex-confederate soldier? On the DVD commentary, Robert Pattinson makes fun of Edward's tendency to appear out of nowhere by comparing him to Batman. He, of course, would later go on to play Batman. Vanessa Hudgens were considered to play Leah Clearwater. Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter) and Channing Tatum were considered to play Riley.
