Monday transparency report

The changes I made on Friday 5th were really helpful and have made the whole thing much more fun to play. This week I updated multiple scenes to reflect the changes to pacing, structure and tone, and I'm really happy and excited with where the writing is now based on these changes.
This draft has now succeeded at the main thing I wanted it to do (and the main thing I want to keep doing, going forward with the game): make it less of a slideshow. Malaysia now has two separate mission paths ("operator" vs "honeypot", a microcosm of the heroine's whole core conflict – I know that most players will choose "honeypot", but I think the existence of a viable alternative path makes it hotter).
It also has a separate ending, with entirely new NPCs, for players who prefer to skip past the Max mission entirely. This ending's short but I think it's sexy, and kind of sweet. I wrote it on Wednesday, it took 10.5 hours.
There are also lots more skill checks and decision points than there have been in previous episodes.
I need to finish editing the Max date (which I'm partway through doing), and edit the Max sex scene (which I'm hoping to start on by Wed or Thurs this week). Fortunately I think this is going to be pretty straightforward because the changes I made on Fri 5th included big characterisation improvements for Max and the heroine, and it's making their (now optional) chemistry much hotter and easier to write.
Okay, it's been a long day and my brain is mush once more. I will rest it tonight so it is fresh for more work tomorrow. 🦀❤️🔥

Probably a bit of both... could've been the "office" testing you to see how far you'd go for the cause.

2025-12-16 06:13:46 +0000 UTCHey, just relax. Doing new things just takes time. I was on a temporary assignment in Newport RI, so sure I got a per diem and transportation to CA monthly. But I had to deal with the opposition's realtime operating system which they didn't know how to make work and I really wanted to either return to LA or DC to see my gf. So I wanted it over as soon as possible but also wanted it to work. They at the end wanted me to fail so they could renig on the contract. Actually the harder you try at it the longer it takes. It's a zen thing. Claire Danes in The Beast in Me plays a writer who has a block and has eaten up the book advance. You are doing fine.

I remember the old version having no visual or dialogue-based effect later in Bangkok. I guess because it was a nightmare for Victoria 🤔. Now you've put the tanning scene in the London base itself. And did anyone understand the reason for the new nudity scene at the base? The request for a full-body view? I didn't understand whether it was to check a hidden stat or if the officer was a lesbian 🤣.
