August 2021 Letter from Jacob

Hey everyone!

We are halfway to our first goal!!!   Also, you may have seen it already, but I just put up our first poll to vote for what my next challenge project I will model, please take a look and vote for what you would like to see!

I will still be modeling and working on other projects as always, but I will definitely be prioritizing whichever option wins the popular vote!

Outside of that I just wanted to mention; I've been in the process of making some pretty big pivots in my life this past month, all hopefully in an effort to create more time for me to make new 3D models for you all!  Some of you may know but a viral video got me swamped with orders to my shop, so if I'm a little slow to respond or not as active in the Discord server the next few days that's why!

I'm working hard to get new printers running and my operations going smoothly over here, but I am still working on models as I can!  Running this Patreon is also a big adjustment for me, but it's what I truly love and want to grow so thank you all for coming on board and helping me build what is already an awesome community!

One last thing I wanted to mention;  While I do enjoy selling prints from my own shop, one big goal of mine is to help you all do the same and hopefully eventually shut my own shop down.  As I've mentioned, MODELING is where my passion is at, the shop just helps keep the lights on for now :)  One step at a time, but I really look forward to eventually modeling full time and giving you an amazing selection of models to print!

I also am in the process of creating some new modeling tutorials for Fusion 360, so if there's anything you want to see please comment on this post!  I really want to make some Patreon exclusive ones for exactly what you guys want to see how to do!

I genuinely appreciate all of the support from you! I've got a couple of small projects and variations to current projects I'm looking forward to releasing to you all and look forward to more feedback on what you guys want to see!

Sincerely,

Jacob

F360 tutorials sound great! One tool I have found super helpful recently is the use of the loft tool. There are not enough videos on how to use this tool creatively. I made a saguaro cactus using this tool and I think many people's projects would benefit from adding this tool to their tool belt
