I had a very productive day outside. Working about the yard and doing some much needed maintenance: picking up fallen sticks and branches, wrapping up garden hoses, and mowing. I enjoy this kind of work, especially on lovely autumn days. Undoubtedly, I'll have to repeat these tasks countless times, probably as soon as next weekend. I'm okay with that. It reminded me of a saying. I've reworded it slightly to fit it into haiku form:
It is often said
The reward for work well done
Is even more work.
