From: Grapefruit, A Book of Instruction and Drawings by Yoko Ono. Conversation Piece (or Crutch Piece):
"Bandage any part of your body.
If people ask about it, make a story and tell.
If people do not ask about it, draw their attention to it and tell.
If people forget about it, remind them of it and keep telling.
Do not talk about anything else."
For this video, I read the instruction and attempt to play along. As I edited, it occurred to me the potential heaviness of this.
We all have wounds, but I rarely want to focus on my own: real or fictional. I'd rather focus on growth from the human experience There is so much beauty and fascination in the world. So much potential for growth. It got me thinking about what to focus on and what to emphasize. As good art should make one think and expand horizons.
