My goal is to post a new batch every Friday, but this week I was late due to travel. Keep an eye out on Fridays for updates!

I've been pulling in a lot of different influences to see how they mix. Goth, high fashion, traditional Tibetan, anime. As I pull all these pieces together, a progressively clearer sense of what I want comes into focus.

Modern materials like spandex and mylar felt out of place in my head because I wanted this to be a fantasy setting. However, it's dawning on me that not only do I see a lot of modern materials working their way into my reference, but I also have solid explanations for them canonically. Instead of limiting myself based on what I believe is realistic, I'm growing to embrace the selfish creative urges that have led to my best work.

Most of the ideas in these pieces are getting thrown out. But I'm holding on to a record of the successes and failures from this process. It's changing the way I think about my next pieces and what I'm looking for in references. Progressively I expect to see the vision for this project continue to clarify in the coming months.
