this was such a good first season and i'm so sad it's over. the wait for season 2 is going to be SO LONG. ugh but i love them so much and this show is one of my all time favorites. WHAT A GOOD FINALEEEE.

Hi, With the graphic novels, there are 4 of them out right now, and a 5th on the way. This season is covered in volume 1 and 2, 2 ending with the coming out scene with Nicks Mum. There are changes between the series and the graphic novels, but it is still very true to the original material. The author of the novels actually wrote the script, so that makes a lot of sense. In the novels, it is predominantly focused on nick and Charlie's relationship, but the series does that alongside more focus for Elle, Tara and Darcy in order to get enough material for a full season. And to ramp up the drama (even though it's still minimal) they added the Imogen character to the series. she isn't in the novels. And also as a heads up, Isaac is essentially Aled in the novels, but they didn't use Aled character as he has his own story in one of the author's other books, so they created Isaac in his place. If you did want to read the novels, you'd be fine to read 1 and 2 and you wouldn't spoil anything for yourself. :) Glad you liked the series. I promise you the books are just as good.
