I agree that Sam completely dropping the entire hunter life and saying "oh well Dean's gone" after hitting a dog and finding a girl he liked is beyond frustrating. Not just because he accepted that Dean was gone. But because, as we have seen in previous seasons, it goes against the Sam character we have come to know. As for the vet expecting Sam to take care of the dog... There are so many ways of looking at this. If the vet office had no way of taking care of the animal long term... and there was no shelter/adoption group available in that area... then Sam caring for the dog could have literally been the difference between the dog having a chance at life and being put down. I know we don't want to think about that. But there are many many areas in the world that do not have adequate animal adoption programs available. Especially smaller urban areas like the one shown in this episode. I can't really talk about season 8 without spoiling things. But after season 7 dragging the Leviathan story out way to long IMO, Season 8 is a welcome excitement.

I really like Kevin and Crowley too.. so hopefully we see more of them.🙂 I agree that Jensen nailed it this episode. He is just such a talented actor!! I miss Cas too and want him back. The whole Sam hit a dog and stopped hunting thing pisses me off. Personally I think it’s ridiculous that a vet would make him feel guilty and say he should take the dog, considering he said he’s on the road all the time. You’d think she would recognize if that’s the case that isn’t really the best life for a pet. I mean, she didn’t know that Sam was going to give up that lifestyle. I’m excited for you to see more this season!🙂
