An autistic woman has reportedly taken a brave stand against the tyranny of her school friends’ WhatsApp group chat by muting and archiving it, putting her phone in a drawer and possibly moving to Switzerland, she hasn’t decided yet.
According to sources, Krista Shure, 30, had intended to make a statement by leaving the group altogether, but instead opted for perpetually pretending she “somehow missed” every single message.
Shure said: “I don’t know how much more I can take of passive-aggressive ‘banter’, in jokes that stopped being funny 15 years ago and hearing about Olivia’s fucking juice cleanse.”
“It’s only gotten worse since they all started having kids,” Shure continued. “Why do I need to see 57 very slightly different photos of the same food-splattered infant?”
“I should have left the group years ago, but better late than never,” added Shure, before immediately defaulting back to “never”.
Friend Olivia Buckingham, 29, said: “Krista’s been a little quiet in the group chat, poor thing. It’s the autism.”
