A workplace that describes itself as “autism friendly” is giving its autistic employees the willies due to being eerily pleasant, reports have indicated.
The anonymous workplace, a London-based recruitment company, reportedly welcomes neurodivergent employees - in much the same way Jim Jones welcomed newcomers to Jonestown.
An unnamed source told us: “Yeah they’ve got a sensory room and flexible working hours - but everyone is also constantly smiling serenely and claiming we’re a family.”
“There’s a lot of mandatory socialising,” the source continued. “Often party or sporting-related. The scary thing is how much people seem to enjoy it.”
A spokesperson for the company commented: “We don’t think there’s anything sinister about the odd after-work drink, scavenger hunt or ritual bloodletting.”
“I’ve said too much.”
