Since this is a VR game where the user experiences what happens to their character directly, I sort of imagine that the game adjusts itself to suit each player's comfort zone. So, some players might experience a more intense version of what just hit Felix while others might experience a more tame "I point at you, and now you are frozen in place" version of the attack.
