SEPTEMBER PROGRESS REPORT

HELLO EVERYONE, what a long week/month/multiple months it has been.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED?

The health insurance video is officially done and out in the world and—although I was not expecting it—it is doing better than any other video I've made this year. Maybe in multiple years. Who knew so many people were passionate about Health Insurance Terminology?

For real though, I'm extremely grateful that people seem to be connecting with it, and for all of you who have watched and shared it. I'm also so grateful that you patrons were able to give me the time to essentially not produce anything for three months just so I could do the best job I possibly could with this video.

A lot of people want more videos like this, and to that I say OH NO PLEASE IT TOOK SO LONG. But it's a good problem to have! I don't expect that I'll be able to make another long explainer for a bit, but I did like doing it, and if there's any specifically terrible piece of being an adult in this world that you think would be a good thing to focus on, please let me know! I might start mulling it over. 

But not for another few months because...

WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN?

Next month, the vampire returns. It's a spiritual successor to AAAH!BBA, but with a different disco band.

Because of the health insurance vid, Jonah and I have only been able to work on two songs, but they're gonna be fun, and as the picture above shows, I've already started collecting my new costume pieces.

WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN AFTER THAT?

I've got ideas for November and December! November is probably a short little weird song vid, and December is most likely going to be a standard ol' cooking video, like Ice Creams and Pepcorn.

WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU BEEN DOING?

Karen and I have been pitching a show A LOT in the past month. It's been weird and fun and exhausting and exciting, but mostly it has been taking up a lot of time and energy and I'll be happy to have a little more free time in maybe a few months!

OH YES I forgot, I've changed my Patreon billing to be on the day you subscribed! They just set this up, and it means that instead of getting billed once during the month you start up and then again on the first of the month, it should just bill you on the same day every month! It should be set now, so if you just joined, I don't think you'll get billed again until the same day next month!
