Update Post! Feb. 5th. 2025 (Patreon Stream later today!)

Hey Patrons, here's your first update post for the month!

First, a quick look at the to-do list:

I was able to get quite a bit off the to-do list with a standard 4 song month in January, and should be able to do so again this month. The ultimate goal is to have almost everything you see here out by the end of March.

Baking the Wondertart will be next up, depending on how long that takes me (hoping to have it out early next week), this will likely be followed by my wife's Valentines Day song pick (which will be revealed soon), and then anything else I'm able to squeeze into this short month. I'm still looking to have GBA Medley 2 ready this month as well as The Oracle.

Today's stream will take place at our usual time of 4:00 PM US Eastern (approximately 3 hours from this post), where we'll be choosing one song to go on the to-do list, followed by my off-stream handpick choice which will be posted shortly after.

I'm getting the 2024 compilation album, XIV, ready by this weekend, so we have to have a XIV song naming stream soon! I'll likely be doing this on Friday, I'll confirm the exact day/time with you tomorrow.

And lastly, another cool feature!

I got to play a part in this official Gimmick! arrange soundtrack! I performed the guitars on the Tee Lopes track Strange Memories of Death. This is the track that goes unused in the original release (but can still be heard in the sound test), but was eventually re-added to the re-release of the game (Gimmick! Exact Mix) as the game over/continue screen theme. We also had the privilege of meeting the composer, Masashi Kageyama, at MAGFest, where he explained the song's simultaneous existence and absence from the game is where he got the idea for the name.

It's also really cool to be a part of an official Gimmick! project because I learned about this game through GaMetal, covering two songs from it for the second even NES Medley (and another in NES Medley 8).
